Juan Pablo Brambila Villaseñor

Director of Civil and Commercial Litigation

Practice Area: Civil and commercial litigation, portfolio management, and collections.

Juan Pablo holds a law degree from ITESO and a Master’s in Public Law from Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara campus.

His professional experience is extensive, beginning with internships at a Federal Court and a Public Prosecutor’s Office, advancing through roles as associate, manager, and external advisor to the Jalisco State Congress. Since 2019, he has served as Director of Civil and Commercial Litigation at Martínez y de Labra, Abogados.

He is known for his continuous professional development, having completed over 10 seminars and specializations, including participation in congresses on Commercial Procedural Law, Civil Procedure, Amparo, and the most recent seminar “The Conduct of the Process According to the Rational Conception of Evidence” at the University of Girona in October 2024.

He was recognized in the 2023 and 2024 editions of The Best Lawyers in Mexico in Civil and Commercial Litigation.

Alejandra Martínez Orozco

Director of Corporate Law and Compliance

Practice Area: Corporate Law

Alejandra holds a law degree from ITESO and a Master’s in Business Law from the University of Barcelona. She also completed a postgraduate program in Administrative Law at Universidad Panamericana, Guadalajara campus.

She has taken several courses in her field of expertise, including the Real Estate Update Seminar from ANADE Jalisco and a Compliance Course at Universidad Panamericana.

Alejandra has over 18 years of professional experience in both public and private sectors, serving as legal advisor and contract review attorney. Since 2019, she has been Director of Corporate Law and Compliance at Martínez y de Labra, Abogados.

Julián Enrique Matute García

Director of Administrative, Regulatory, and Real Estate Law

Practice Area: Real Estate and Urban Law, Administrative Law, Constitutional Law, Lobbying, Government Relations, and Public Works and Infrastructure Law.

Julián is a graduate of ITESO. He has completed various seminars and specializations in Amparo Law, Electoral Law, Administrative Law (e.g., government sales and public tenders), and holds a Diploma in “Public Administration Oversight 2023, Comparative Perspective Spain-Mexico” from Universidad Complutense de Madrid.

With nearly 20 years of experience in his specialty, he has worked as lawyer, manager, and since 2019, Director of Administrative, Regulatory, and Real Estate Law at Martínez y de Labra, Abogados. He also served in the public sector, including roles in the Ministry of the Interior and as an external advisor to the Jalisco State Congress.

José Luis Díaz Badial

Director of Labor Law

Practice Area: Workforce management, labor risk prevention, and labor litigation.

José Luis holds a law degree from ITESO and a Master's in Human Capital Management from the University of Barcelona.

He has more than 20 years of experience in labor law, progressing through various law firms. Since 2019, he has been Director of Labor Law at Martínez y de Labra, Abogados.

Mario Álvaro Figueroa López

Director of Criminal Law

Practice Area: Criminal Law

Álvaro holds a law degree from the University of Guadalajara and a Master's in Criminal Procedural Law with a focus on oral litigation from Universidad Nova Spania.

He has over 25 years of experience in both public and private sectors, including 15 years in various departments of the Guadalajara City Council, work in public safety and justice, criminal affairs coordination at the Red Cross Jalisco, six years in criminal litigation, and as a customs administrator at Mexico’s Tax Administration Service. Since 2019, he has served as Director of Criminal Law at Martínez y de Labra, Abogados.
